Mian Sultan Mahmood Advocate has the privilege and honor to be trustee and Treasurer of Umeed Welfare Trust Mirpur (AJK).

The Trust is a body corporate registered under Societies Act 1860 applicable to Azad Jammu & Kashmir since 2005. The Trust is also registered with the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Council Islamabad under the  Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies ( Registration and Control) Ordinance 1966 as applicable in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

The Objectives of the Trust include works in Medical, Education and other Social Welfare engagements with the support of the community and for the community.

The Trust aims to establish a 50 bed community Hospital in the Mid Bainsi area at the bank of Mangla Dam. The hospital Project is under construction and will provide free medical services to the downtrodden and deserving public. The project is being funded through charity provided by the community locally as well as from the United Kingdom through UWT Bredford UK. – a sister Trust functioning under English laws.

The Membership of the Trust is open for all as provided in its Constitution and the members of the Trust collectively constitute the General Body of the Trust which is the supreme body controlling the activities and functions of the Trust.

The Trust is managed by it’s a Managing Body elected by the Executive and General Body as provided in its Constitution.
