Mian Sultan Mahmood Advocate Supreme Court has been elected unopposed as Member Executive Committee of the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bar Association for year 2012-13.  

AJK Shariat Court grants bail to Ashfaq Hussain accused of abetting the murder of one Fazal Ellahi

The Shariat Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has granted bail to the accused Ashfaq Hussain in murder case of ex-chairman uniion council is Tehsil Dadyal. Ashfaq is charged with abettment of the murder. Ashfaq was in jail since last more than two years. In the previous round the Supreme Court had refused the baid to him. Mian Sultan Mahmood Advocate appeared and argued the case on behalf of Ashfaq Hussain. 

Supreme Court sets aside the High Court Order in Zainab BiBi Case

The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has directed the High Court to decide the Revision Petition of Zainab BiBi after impleading the legal representatives of deceased Respondent in the case. The High Court had dismissed the Petition in a hasty manner forcing Zainab BiBi to approach the Supreme Court in Azad Jammu & Kashmir for justice in the matter. 

District Judge Mirpur has remanded the case back to Senior Civil Judge Mirpur

The Application for rejection of plaint titled Arshad V. Arshad was dismissed by the Senior Civil Judge Mirpur against the law. His Order was challenged before the District Judge Mir[ur by way of a Revision Petition. Our lawyers argued the case and pointed out the illegalities in the Order. The District Judge convinced with the arguments raised by the expert lawyers of Mianjee Associates, accepted the Petition, set aside the impugned order and remanded the case to Sr. Civil Judge Mirpur to decide the matter afresh after hearing the parties.

The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has granted leave to appeal in the Service Petition titled Abdul Hameed vs. Secretary Education & others. Our lawyers represented the Petitioner and argued his case forcefully. The court is convinced on the points raised by our lawyers that a regular appeal is necessary for determining the disputed questions for the cause of justice. 

The Supreme Court of AJK has granted leave to appeal in the family Petition filed by our lawyers.

The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has granted leave to appeal in the family Petition filed by our lawyers on a law point of public importance. The point before the Court is whether an interim order in a family matter can be challenged before the Shariat Court by way of Revision Petition / appeal or not? Our lawyers vehemently argued the Petition and the Court has agreed to look into the questions raised before them in regular appeal. If this appeal is finally accepted by the Court, it will pave way for the aggrieved parties to challenge the illegal and unjust interim orders passed by the Family Courts in Azad Kashmir.
